Orders

Placing, tracking, and managing your Sivalya order.

How do I place an order? +

Add the pieces you love to your cart and proceed to checkout. You can check out as a guest or create a Sivalya account, which lets you track orders, save favourites, and access exclusive launches. Payment is processed securely via Shopify.

Can I modify or cancel my order? +

We process orders quickly, usually within a few hours of placement. If you need to change or cancel an order, email us at hello@sivalya.com as soon as possible with your order number. We will do our best to help, but once an order has shipped we cannot modify it.

I didn't receive an order confirmation. What should I do? +

Confirmation emails are sent within minutes of order placement. Please check your spam or promotions folder first. If you still cannot find it, email hello@sivalya.com with the name and email you used at checkout, and we will resend it.

Do you restock sold-out pieces? +

Many pieces are restocked seasonally, especially our core goddess styles. Because every stone is hand-selected, some pieces are genuinely limited. Sign up for restock alerts on the product page, or join our email list to be the first to know.

Shipping

Delivery timelines, rates, and tracking.

How long will my order take to arrive? +

Most US orders ship within 1–2 business days. Standard shipping arrives in 3–5 business days. Express shipping (when selected at checkout) arrives in 1–2 business days.

International orders typically arrive in 7–14 business days depending on destination and customs processing.

During high-volume periods (holidays, product launches), processing may take an additional 1–2 business days.

How much does shipping cost? +

Within the US: Free standard shipping on orders over $100. Under $100, standard is $6. Express shipping is $18.

International: Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination. Duties and taxes may be collected by your country's customs and are the buyer's responsibility.

How do I track my order? +

Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details. You can also view tracking from your Sivalya account under Order History.

Do you ship internationally? +

Yes, we ship to most countries worldwide. Shipping options and rates are calculated at checkout. Please note that international buyers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees charged by their country.

My package is showing as delivered but I cannot find it. +

First, check with neighbors and any safe delivery locations around your home. Packages occasionally show as delivered a day before arrival. If it still has not appeared within 48 hours, email us at hello@sivalya.com with your order number and we will open a carrier investigation.

Returns & Exchanges

Our policy, process, and exceptions.

What is your return policy? +

We accept returns on most unworn pieces within 30 days of delivery for a full refund to your original payment method. Pieces must be returned in their original Sivalya packaging with all tags and cards intact.

The following are not eligible for return:

  • Earrings (for hygiene reasons)
  • Custom-sized rings outside our standard size range
  • Sacred Strands customized with intention
  • Final sale items
  • Gift cards
How do I start a return? +

Email hello@sivalya.com with your order number and the reason for return, or visit our Returns Centre if you have an account. We will send you a prepaid return label (US orders) or return instructions (international).

A flat $10 return shipping fee is deducted from US refunds. International buyers are responsible for return shipping costs.

How long do refunds take? +

Once we receive your return, we inspect and process it within 3–5 business days. Refunds are issued to your original payment method and typically appear within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank.

Do you offer exchanges? +

Yes. For a ring in a different size, or a piece in a different stone, email us and we will arrange an exchange. The fastest way to guarantee your replacement is to place a new order for the piece you want and return the original for a refund.

What if my piece arrives damaged? +

We inspect every piece before shipping, but if something arrives damaged, email us within 48 hours of delivery at hello@sivalya.com with your order number and photos of the damage. We will replace or refund the piece at no cost to you.

Do you have a warranty? +

Yes. Every Sivalya piece is covered by our 1-year craft warranty. If a manufacturing defect appears, a broken clasp, a loose stone, a soldering issue, or abnormal vermeil wear, we will repair or replace the piece.

The warranty does not cover normal wear, scratches, tarnish, damage from chemicals or water, or loss. For warranty claims, email hello@sivalya.com with photos and your order number.

Jewelry Care

How to keep your Sivalya pieces looking their best.

How do I care for sterling silver? +

Sterling silver is built for wear, but like any precious metal, it responds to what it is exposed to.

  • Last on, first off. Put your jewelry on after lotion, perfume, and makeup. Take it off before showering, swimming, or sleeping.
  • Avoid chlorine, salt water, and harsh chemicals. These can dull the finish and weaken settings.
  • Polish gently. A soft silver polishing cloth restores bright silver in seconds. Avoid abrasive cleaners or toothpaste. They scratch the metal.
  • Store separately. Keep each piece in its own Sivalya pouch to prevent tangling and scratching.
How do I care for gold vermeil? +

Treat vermeil the way you would treat solid gold.

  • Keep it away from chlorine, salt water, perfume, and household cleaners.
  • Wipe gently with a dry, lint-free cloth after wear, never a silver polishing cloth, which is too abrasive for vermeil.
  • Remove before showering, swimming, and working out.
  • Store in its Sivalya pouch, away from humidity.

With this care, our 2.5-micron vermeil will look beautiful for years.

Will my sterling silver tarnish? +

Yes, and that is not a flaw. All sterling silver reacts naturally with sulfur in the air and can develop a warm patina over time. This is reversible in seconds with a soft polishing cloth. Many wearers actually prefer the oxidized character that develops on hand-textured pieces, it deepens the detail.

Can I wear my jewelry in the shower or pool? +

We do not recommend it. Chlorine, salt water, and soap residue can dull silver, accelerate tarnish, and weaken prongs that hold your stones. For the longest life of your piece, remove before bathing or swimming.

How do I clean my gemstones? +

For most stones, a soft, dry cloth is enough. If a stone needs more, use lukewarm water and a drop of mild soap, then pat dry immediately. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners, steamers, and harsh chemicals, especially on porous stones like moonstone, turquoise, opal, and pearl.

What goes into every Sivalya piece.

What is 925 sterling silver? +

925 sterling silver is an alloy of 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper, the international standard for fine silver jewelry. The silver gives the metal its cool luster and weight; the copper gives it the strength to hold stone settings and withstand daily wear. Every Sivalya silver piece is hallmarked 925.

What is gold vermeil? +

Gold vermeil (pronounced ver-may) is a thick layer of solid gold bonded to a core of sterling silver. Our vermeil uses 14K gold at a thickness of 2.5 microns, five times the industry minimum of 0.5 microns. It is not the same as gold-plated jewelry, which uses a thin gold coating over brass or steel.

Is your jewelry hypoallergenic? +

Our 925 sterling silver and 14K gold vermeil are nickel-free and suitable for most sensitive skin types. If you have a known silver or copper sensitivity, test a small piece first. If you experience any reaction, we will accept a return within our 30-day window.

Are your gemstones from the earth or lab-grown? +

All Sivalya gemstones are formed by the earth, not lab-grown. They are hand-selected from trusted cutting partners and inspected at our studio against our five criteria: colour, clarity, cut, character, and energy.

Why does my piece look slightly different from the photo? +

Every stone is formed by the earth and is one-of-a-kind. Color saturation, inclusions, and flash patterns vary from piece to piece, this is the individuality of a natural stone. Your piece will share the overall character and energy of the photographed piece, but its specific details will be uniquely yours.

Understanding the Sivalya world.

What are the five goddess worlds? +

Sivalya's collection is organized around five goddess archetypes: Lakshmi (abundance), Durga (courage), Saraswati (wisdom), Parvati (love), and Kali (transformation). Each world has its own energy, color story, and set of stones. Every Sivalya piece belongs to one or more of these worlds.

How do I know which goddess or stone is right for me? +

Trust what calls you. Most wearers find themselves drawn to certain colors and energies intuitively. If you want guidance, you can browse by goddess world from our navigation, or read each stone's meaning on the product page. For a deeper dive, visit our Goddess page.

Can I wear stones from different goddess worlds together? +

Absolutely. Many women wear stones from multiple worlds intentionally, a Durga ring for strength on a bracelet with a Parvati piece for softness. The goddesses are not in conflict. They are facets of the same feminine force.

Sending Sivalya to someone you love.

Does every order come gift-ready? +

Yes. Every Sivalya order arrives in a branded gift box with a protective pouch, a stone meaning card, and a care guide, ready to wear or ready to give.

Can I include a personal note? +

Yes. At checkout, select “This is a gift” and add your message. We hand-write personal notes on a Sivalya card included inside the box. We can also omit the receipt if shipping directly to the recipient.

Do you offer gift cards? +

Yes. Digital Sivalya gift cards are available from $50 to $500 and are delivered via email. They never expire.

Account & Payment

Managing your account, payment options, and privacy.

What payment methods do you accept? +

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), as well as PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, and buy-now-pay-later via Shop Pay Installments (on eligible orders).

Is my payment information secure? +

Yes. All transactions are processed through Shopify's secure, PCI-compliant checkout. We never see or store your full card details.

Do you offer pay-over-time options? +

Yes. Shop Pay Installments lets you split eligible orders into four interest-free payments. The option appears at checkout if your order qualifies.

How do I create an account? +

Click the account icon at the top of any Sivalya page, then “Create account.” A Sivalya account lets you track orders, save favorites, manage addresses, and access early launches.

How do I unsubscribe from emails? +

Every Sivalya email contains an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can also manage your communication preferences from your account under Email Settings.
