Product Highlights

Hand Crafted
Ethically Made

Wrist malas are smaller versions of traditional malas and are easy to use for meditation and counting. This unique mala is made of brown Yak bone beads, each painted with the sacred mantra Om by hand. Each bead is used to count the repetition of a mantra or a chosen intention during meditation. Bracelet is stretchy and will accommodate most wrist sizes.

Bone is used in Tantric Buddhism to remind us of our impermanence and by doing so, we are inspired to make each moment meaningful. These beads are made by hand and acquired with reverence and care from naturally demised Yak animal, considered sacred and powerful in Tibetan Buddhist culture. Tibetan Monks honor the passing of Yaks as a spiritual experience and beads made out of their bones serves as a symbolic practice of passing from this world's consciousness to another. Contemplating death can prove beneficial to one's life, spiritually and otherwise.
